Easter.

Happy Easter peeps! Get it...peeps...the Easter marshmallow?? No, crickets...ok...moving on...

So, how was every one's Easter!? We had such a great day!

Both kids woke up before the sun, surprise, surprise. Jason had made an indoor egg hunt for Nate to do when he woke up and Easter baskets were out for both kids. Nate was SO excited. Easter might be more exciting than Christmas to this kid. For real. Finding and hiding eggs made his day. We even used eggs we got from the neighborhood Easter party and Jason stuffed the eggs with Cheetos. Hilarious. And good thing Jason set it up indoors because we woke up to snow. Drunk Kansas at it again.

After opening baskets and searching for eggs, I made a french toast breakfast with bacon and fruit. French toast was a HIT with Morgan, but Nate said he wasn't hungry. Most likely because he had Cheetos at 7am.

Dying Easter eggs was next on our list. Nate and I did them together on the kitchen floor. Fun, simple, and relatively clean.

I got in an Easter workout I found on Pinterest after egg dying and then gave Jason a hair cut.
I did 3 rounds FYI

We Jason used the eggs we dyed to make deviled eggs for lunch. Then we just relaxed until it was time to go to a birthday party for Nate's little friend.

The birthday party was a blast! The kids played with bubbles, went on a playground, cake, pizza, pinata, etc.

During the party I had a friend snap a few pictures of us because we always use our timer. We got a few good ones!

Hopefully the kids will sleep good tonight because we had a very fun-filled active day. I hope your day and Easter was as good as ours!

It's that time...

...time to get healthy, get in shape, and get back to pre-pregnancy body. 6 weeks postpartum has creeped on me! That's okay though, I am ready to like my body again. I had Jason take pictures for me so I can track the progress. Holy back fat! Thank goodness he took those because seeing that picture can me a lot of motivation.

Before I started anything I got new shoes. Because, new shoes.

My plan is a modified beachbody/shakeology with a little common sense and my own knowledge of health. Since I am breastfeeding Morgan I am hungry all the damn time. I will trade in my McDonald's and bad foods for healthy and fresh. Don't get me wrong, I will cheat and have treats from time to time. All in moderation, right?

My pre-pregnancy weight: 147
Weight at 39 weeks: 169
Weight at 6 weeks PP: 150

Here are the 6 weeks postpartum pictures.

 Expected this ^^

 Expected this ^^

Where does back fat come from!? Eww! Do. Not. Like.

I did my first workout for the day today. It was hard. I will be sore tomorrow. Half way through my 4 sets, Morgan needed to nurse. Maybe she felt sorry for me because I was struggling? Maybe she is excited it is National Breastfeeding Week? Or she is just a chunker.

Cheers to day 1!

Post-pregnancy Plan

Time to get back in shape and get my pre-baby body back (well...as close as possible)! I know having a baby has changed my body and it will probably never look the same again.

**Warning: There are 2 pictures below of my body as of today (7 weeks after giving birth).

I am posting them because I want to be okay with my body and also motivate myself. By putting the pictures on my blog it will give me no option but to work out and be accountable for changing the way I look. If I don't, you will see me look more like a kangaroo carrying Nathan around...

So, what is my plan to lose the weight and get a better body? Here is the plan:
1. Workout (duh!)
      a) Stroller Strides-Quad Cities. I'll be going once a week for now, then when it gets warmer (and back outdoors) I'll go 2-3 times a week.
      b) My brother got me YourShape Fitness Evolves XBox game...much better for this freezing weather and an infant.
      c) Crossfit with the hubster and/or solo. Crossfit has their own website, so I can easily look there or do a workout or two on the weekend with Jason.
      d) A monthly task. This month is an actual monthly resolution of doing 100 squats a day, but I want to do something every month...100 stairs, 100 triceps, 100 situps, etc.
2. Eat healthier. Healthier being the key word. This is harder than the working out for me because I heart bad food. Why does it have to be so damn good!? I need to eat less carbs DEFINITELY and less sweets.
3. Drink more water. I drink about 20oz a day (very rough estimate) and I know I need more. Period. I will actually go get a glass right now, thank you very much. *drinks a glass* Boom! Easy peasy.

Here is what the good ol' belly looks like now...

So here is my promise to myself to get back in shape and get somewhat of a nice body back.

What are some ways you lost the baby weight? If you haven't lost it yet, join me...you know you want to!
