Not A Blog Post.

This is not a good blog post. I repeat; it is not a good blog post.

I'm just writing a sentence so I don't miss a day.

I am online shopping at Old Navy and ranking the renovations I want to do on our next house. Big adulting serious business right now. While eating Jelly Beans my grandma sent. Because Easter. And because my grandma is the best. I just got buttered popcorn and black licorice so that kinda sucked.

I'm also trying to convince my husband to hard boil eggs to dye tomorrow. I am the WORST at hard boiling eggs.

What is your favorite place to shop online?

If you could renovate anything in your house right now (even if you are renting), what would it be?

I'm not doing a long post because I am working on a more extensive one about our move coming up and how to do it yourselves and make money. It will be a lot of information, but it might actually help other military peeps so I'm trying to make it good with accurate information and links and all that good stuff us military people like.

Here is some humor to end my non-blog post.

See how that was a non blog post. Told you. And you read...still. Suckers!

Blog Posts.

I have a list of blog post ideas. Some really good ideas, too. Jason help me put the list together. So I have this list of topics to blog about, but I can't bring myself to write about them.

Some of them are simple; some are going to definitely take awhile to think about and decide what angle I want to take them in. I try to keep blog posts short and simple with maybe...maybe...some humor in it. And pictures.

The hard part is deciding what to write about, how long it should be, and whether or not it will relate to anyone. Does anyone really read the entire blog? I mean, really? (Yes, there will be a quiz at the end to make sure you are reading this.)

Tell me this... What do you love about blogs? What keeps your attention?

I'm asking because I want to write things you like to read. I want to write topics you can relate to. I want to you WANT to read the entire post.

I really didn't want to write tonight...just FYI. Give me your thoughts, feelings, reactions, suggestions. Or just tell me you love everything I write. Either way, I'll still like you.

Quiz: Which do you like the best?

A:

B:

C:

Hello, March!

Whatever happened to predictability? The milk man, the paper boy, the evening TV?
Just kidding...I'm watching Fuller House. Now you can go back and sing ^^ Go ahead, you know you want to...

Besides binge watching Fuller House, I'm drinking decaf coffee. With cream. I'm eating Erdbeer Joghurt and Biscoff(Thanks to one of my best friends!), and Thin Mints(Thanks to my hubby!). Paleo February is O-ver!!! And the kids are in bed. Mom winning right here.

To be honest, Paleo month wasn't too horrible. I had a few cheats so I wasn't crazy strict. Maybe...90% paleo 10% non-paleo. A few things about Paleo month. I started to actually like veggies. Like...raw veggies. You read that right. Raw. Dipped in hummus. Veggies and hummus might be my favorite lunch right now and even though Paleo month is over, I plan to continue eating a lot of veggies for lunch. I also didn't miss bread and cheese as much as I thought I would. What did I miss? Dr. Pepper and coffee. I tried drinking hot tea, but there is no comparison. Coffee is my jam.

So what is going on this month!? My resolution this month is to blog everyday, even if it is only one sentence or a picture. I'm hoping I can keep up because this month is busy. We have a lot of visitors coming, which is exciting, but hard to blog while they are here. Hell, it's hard to keep up blogging when I actually have time. And I turn 31 this month so I may or may forget to blog a day or two due to old age. So don't judge me.

Other news. My awesome husband got promoted, Nate is doing MUCH better at school, and Morgan is sleeping MUCH better. My little family is pretty much doing awesome. We are also prepping for our next move. I still don't even really feel settled in Kansas so I am in this internal debate of trying to make Kansas feel like home, but also distance myself and prepare to start packing.

I hope everyone is doing well! And since I'll be bugging you everyday all month, let me know if there is anything you want me to write about!

Time is flying...

Seriously! Where the heck does it go?? I looked at my last blog post written on Mother's Day. 6 MONTHS ago! Ridiculous, unnecessary, and it has to stop. Writing is like therapy, even if it is scattered, all over the place, or doesn't make sense. Is  writing for the writer or the reader? Most of the time it is for the writer with the hope that something will catch a reader's eye. The reason I started a blog was to have some "me-time", have family keep up with our lives because we are long-distance, and for me to capture memories with not only pictures, but through my perspective that they happen.

I have been MIA in the blogging world for way to long. So...what have we been up to the past 6 months? I keep it short and in a nutshell.

1. We moved from Iowa to Hawaii.

2. We've had more visitors in Hawaii the past month than any other state. I LOVE visitors...especially when you live in paradise!
3. Nate turned 1 year old.

4. We are trying for baby #2.
5. I hiked and saw my first waterfall.

Those are the top 5 I can think of at the moment. I can list probably a million milestones for Nate, but I'll leave that for another post.

I knew this post would be all over the place because I haven't written in so long. It's like I forget how to form proper sentences. I will get better though. I will post more. And I will not let time get the best of me. It will continue to fly by. I will just remember to stop, pay attention, and enjoy the moments.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful November so far and is getting ready for the craziness of the holiday season approaching us. Remember to not let the craziness get to you. Enjoy your family, have dinner together, make cookies, go on a walk, take lots of pictures, and love as much as you can.

How do you make sure you aren't letting time get the best of you?
